AI Police Patrol & License Plate Recognition System

I built this project to explore how AI and computer vision can help make police patrol work faster and more organized. The system can detect vehicles from a camera or video, read their license plates, and automatically check the plate against connected records. When a vehicle is found, the officer can see information such as registration, driver’s licence, insurance, and any existing alerts. The system can also warn the officer when something needs attention and allows them to issue a ticket or warning, add notes, and keep a record of the interaction. I’m continuing to improve the project, especially the accuracy of the license plate recognition and how the system handles vehicles in real time.
